Failing economy, i have a serious question...?

how can celebs make millions a yr for making music or making movies, when our econommy is sinking and most americans are scrounging just to make ends meet? how is this even allowed? why cant the government and celebs make sure that people have jobs and food on the table. it just doesnt seem fair. i know this aint a fair world. but i just dont know why someone makes so much money to make music and be a public eff up, while the regular guy gets laid off and now he cant feed his family. please help me understand this.
