Why do fat people get so much flack?

for wearing skimpy clothing in public? Don't they have as much of a right to show off their bodies as the next person? I'm not a large person by any means, but I know it can't be fun to bundle up when it's hot outside, and I know larger people get even hotter than I do when it's warm out.
