An internet network preference for Macbook question.?

Every time I reboot or wake up my Macbook my computer automatically goes to an unsecured network from my apt complex. I know this should be an easy question but its not obvious to me ive tried a few different things and how do I get my own network to automatically connect when I turn my mac on?
