The Burqa within Islam?

First and foremost, this question is not asking for the religious reasons why some Muslim women wear Burqas, nor is this question's theme about the suppression of women, their rights, etc etc. All that I am asking is what are your views and ideas, as Muslim women (regardless of whether or not you wear one), about the Burqa, and what it means to you religiously (e.g. in Islam), and personally (e.g. emotionally, socially, etc). Others are also welcome to show their views!
