Have you ever let a stranger in your house?

I just had a man come to my door with a screwdriver and some tools in his hands. My mind went back to an old Oprah episode (like 10 years ago) that I have never forgotten. I remember that women almost always opened the door when men came to the door looking like professionals, pretending to be the gas man for example, and they then had access to them, their home, their children, etc. I refused to open the door, and just shouted out, I wasn't expecting anybody. He said, oh you aren't _________? and I said no I am not. Anyways, BE ON GUARD LADIES! Never open your door to strangers no matter what! It is not worth the risk! Who cares if that guy thinks I am crazy, I kept myself and my children safe! He could have pushed through the door and done God knows what to me or my children if I gave him the opportunity. Just remember that in the future!
