How do you save your progress on football manager on psp?

I can save it when I first set up a career. But when I've played a couple of matches and I want to quit the game and then play again tommorrow when I try to re load my career it is right at the start again! The leaflet say the game has an autosave feature and saves your progess automatically but it doesn't seem to for me. This is on PSP. Has anyone had similar problems or a solution. Thank You.
