Traveling from Basic to Defense Language Institute?

My husband is in BCT at Ft Jackson, SC and graduates on June 5th. He is igned to be in Monterey, CA on June 12th to enter the Defense Language Institute to study Korean. My questions are: can he drive his own vehicle out there and how will he be reimbersed for mileage? When and how will they move us (i'm allowed to move too b/c ait is longer than 20 wks)? Who do we contact and when? We have not been able to get clear answers from anyone....Thanks!
