Why did Lars (from Metallica) sue Napster? or does he not want his 'fans' downloading his music?

When I met him yrs ago at the N.A.M.M. show in Anaheim California,-the way he was treating 'fans' while signing quick autographs-("WHAT'S YOUR NAME?!-GOING!-GOING!-GOING!-..WHAT??!!..… doesn't surprise me he don't care about his fans!-'major a--hole!'-(I was scared he was gonna leave anytime! thank god I got an autograph!)
